What is Survive 'N' Thrive

• It’s a conference for single mothers and children, birthed in Oklahoma in 2004 by Arise Ministries as a statewide outreach to single mothers

• The name is officially trademarked, belonging to Arise Ministries

• Pam Kanaly and Shelley Pulliam serve as the co-founders

• Its purpose is to provide a two day extravaganza for mothers and children, a time for moms to network with other mothers and learn practical tips in parenting alone

• Fantastic keynote speakers lay the groundwork for every single mom to discover a lifestyle foundation based upon the principles of God’s Word

• Professional counselors and authors lead breakout sessions pertinent to the issues single mothers face: finances, anger and bitterness, education, abuse, etc.

• Childcare promises every child a fun time of games, arts and crafts, and how to be a significant part of the family unit.

Though Survive ‘N’ Thrive began in Oklahoma, it has now traveled to other states in bringing the message of hope to hundreds and hundreds of single parent homes. In February 2010, Arise Ministries was featured on The 700 Club in an effort to spread the good news of this national conference. With almost one fourth of the homes in America being occupied by a single parent, never has there been a greater need to heal our families and nation and bring a fresh start to the hearts of these homes.
