Get Back on Their Feet

Our Mission:
• To provide hope and temporary housing for women with children who find themselves in desperate need.
• To provide compassionate care and counsel in a loving Christian atmosphere.
• To give hope and encouragement to follow a new path of life-changing action.

Our Program:
In April 2003, New Way Ministries began providing transitional housing for homeless women and their children. The program at New Way Ministries is designed to assist each family in achieving the following goals:
• A stable and permanent living environment.
• A stable and dependable income.
• A stable parent/child relationship.

Who Is Eligible:
Our clients are homeless women with children. Homelessness is a term that has so many facets to it. Whatever the circumstance, eligible participants of the New Way Ministries program all have the following in common:

• They have no place to live.
• They have little or no income.
• They are willing to participate in our program.
• They are willing to take whatever steps are necessary to remain clean and sober.
• They are willing to pursue employment and/or education.

Clients are referred to us from a number of sources. Those include: local service providers, churches, schools and individuals.

Initial contact with a potential client is made by telephone for screening. Those who qualify will then be scheduled for an Intake and Assessment interview to review the program and tour our facility.

TESTIMONIES
“I was given the support necessary to take back my life and be a good mom.”

“I must admit with all honesty, upon our acceptance to New Way, my heart and mind were filled with apprehension and doubt. I had never experienced the “community living” setting, and was quite nervous about how well we would “fit in”. However, I quickly noticed that I need not have fear since, although from different backgrounds, everyone here has something in common. Add to that, the fact that the foundation upon which New Way is built, (it’s moral standings, Christian background and acceptable rules and principles…) is a very strong one. I have learned so much here during my stay at New Way. And I am so glad that I was able to meet so many beautiful people along the way. I am eternally grateful for the love, understanding, and compassion that was shown to me and my family. You are truly a fulfillment of Matthew 25: 31-40. May God continue to bless your heart felt efforts in helping those in need.”
