In church families, there are those who can't afford car repair, home repair, professional services (such as accountants and dentists). Many churches are blessed with an abundance of talent, resources and people who are willing to help. Make it your purpose as a single-parent family ministry leader to mobilize skilled volunteers to meet certain needs in your single-parent families currently facing hardships in life.
Be willing to be "the contact" for those who have any needs. Let them call you so you can pray with them and put them in contact with someone who may be willing to help.
If your church congregation has fewer workers, setting up a community resource listing to have available for single-parent families is of great benefit.
